Ayers Career College is seeking an instructor for our Electrical Technician program. This is an excellent opportunity to use your experience in this field to teach others seeking education and and a rewarding career.
Instructors are responsible for teaching students in both classroom and hands-on lab settings and for the sound educational practices and the academic development of each student. Instructors are responsible to manage the classroom environment and promote a positive and engaging learning experience for students. Additionally, Instructors are responsible to provide support, tutoring and other assistance as needed and to “model" the professional behaviors, language, and activities expected of our students.
Qualified candidates should have:
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstration of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude
- Ability to work in an observation/coaching style environment
- Capability to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines
- Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills
- Basic computer software skills including Microsoft Office
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma / GED or higher
- Minimum of 4 years work in the Electrical/Electronics field
- Relevant Certification Desired
- Teaching experience a plus
